This month I am heading up a new initiative to help retirees in lockdown: The Lovie Letters Project! I am photographing kids with their favorite lovie (yes, for FREE!) in exchange for a letter to a retiree in lockdown. We have 160 residents at the Wesley Woods Tower, ready and waiting for a lovely little letter from you! The first round of letters is going out now. Here are some images from our first round of lovie letter writers. This clever mamma set up a letter writing station and pool party for her neighborhood quarantine buddies. What fun!!!
I arrive in a face protector shield for everyone’s protection, and take photos at a distance of at least 6 feet. I usually need a little help corralling little ones so they don’t get too close (I can’t wait until we are back to normal but such is life!). If you need me to, I can also add a mask. I’m always up for being as safe as possible.
Lots of moms are finding that this is a fun activity for their littles. It’s something to do and it really helps someone out there who is struggling in quarantine.
I would love to see you for your very own Sign up for your own Lovie Letters session. Feel free to gather a group of people you are comfortable with.
